Lake River and Volcano Upon arrival at San Jose International airport, you will be transported to the Arenal Lodge, a hotel overlooking the active Arenal Volcano. Your vacation includes a safari adventure on the Penas Blancas river with hikes into a primary tropical rainforest. Later, an evening trip to the famous Tabacon Hot Springs where you may relax in the pools and, depending on visibility , watch the volcano erupt if it is active. The next day you will be transferred across Arenal Lake by boat and taken by jeep for three nights at the Monteverde Lodge to explore the magnificent cloud forest located at the top of the Tilaran Mountain Range. You will then be taken to the northwest Pacific coast to enjoy a relaxing three nights at the Sugar Beach Hotel situated on a romantic sandy beach. Ground transfer back to Liberia International airport is included.
